SFB Wave phenomena
This Collaborative Research Centre is to understand the analytical aspect of wave propagation in realistic conditions, to numerically simulate it and ultimately to control it. The fundamental methodical approach entails a combination of mathematical analysis and numerics.
According to the latest QS World University Ranking by Subject mathematics at KIT belongs to the top ten mathematics departments in Germany. The methodology of that ranking is based on academic and employer reputation and research impact.
New Research Training Group
The Research Training Group 2229 "Asymptotic invariants and limits of groups and spaces" deals with asymptotic geometry. The first four and a half year funding of the German Research Foundation begins October 1st, 2016 (Graphic: Jos Leys).
